As huge fans of the old-time radio programs, we are particularly excited to be a part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration for the “Those Were the Days” radio show, along with lots of other acts. By the way, even though it’s at the Heritage Center we won’t be doing Irish music that day, we’ll just be playing a few of our favorite songs from the 20s, 30s and 40s.
“Those Were the Days” radio show is broadcast on radio every Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on WDCB (90.9 FM) and www.wdcb.org. Check it out if you haven’t already! They rebroadcast the actual audio transcriptions of the old-time radio shows from that 1930s – 1950s era, including The Shadow, Suspense, Lux Radio Theatre, Jack Benny, and so many more.
